Most plastic and cosmetic surgeons can perform breast augmentation and other breast procedures, however, it truly takes Artistic Mastery to perfect the technique of creating a natural look and feel. All breast surgeons at California Surgical Institute have undergone specialized education and training in breast procedures, with several doctors having completed extensive breast and body contouring fellowships. Complimentary Consultations are offered Monday-Saturday throughout Los Angeles. Locations include: Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Newport Beach, Brea, Upland, Ontario and Riverside.
Breast augmentation is one of the most popular procedures performed at California Surgical Institute. This procedure is ideal for patients with small or under-developed breasts. It can also be performed with a breast lift or as a part of breast reconstruction after mastectomy to re-create a fuller, more appealing contour. Depending on your preference, you may choose silicone or saline implants, both approved by the FDA. Our breast surgeons specialize in areolar, inframmary, transaxillary and umbilical techniques, with a true talent for providing patients with discrete scars. Although scarring varies depending on each patient’s body type, our breast surgeons use the most advanced techniques to reduce the appearance of scars and provide each patient with instructions on how to help the healing process and minimize the appearance.
This also holds true for breast lift patients. Depending on the extent of the lift, various techniques are used – including the “donut”, “lollipop” and “anchor” lifts. Named for the shape of their incision, these lifts are used to help remove excess skin and improve the placement of the nipple. This procedure is very common because as a woman ages, gravity takes a toll on the breasts, causing them to stretch and sag. This procedure is also very common for patients who have had children or have lost a significant amount of weight.
Similar to a breast lift, a breast reduction is used to remove excess skin and tissue to create a smaller, lifted breast. Large or heavy breasts can cause unfavorable side effects, such as back problems, bra straps digging into the shoulders, difficulty exercising and unwanted attention. Because conditions such as gigantamastia, or extremely large breasts, can cause health problems, breast reduction is sometimes covered by insurance.
